01Data controller

The data controller for personal data processed via this Community Server is Mirific Labs SAS, a French société par actions simplifiée. For any privacy question, request or complaint, write to blogwarp@mirificlabs.com with subject line [privacy].

02What we collect

  • Account: email address, display name, and the URL of the blog you connect (if you connect one).
  • Content: posts, comments, follows, mentions and any other content you publish through the service.
  • Technical: IP address and basic request logs, used for rate-limiting and abuse detection. Retained for 90 days maximum.
  • Cookies: a single session cookie required to keep you logged in. No tracking cookies.

We do not use third-party analytics, ad networks, or behavioural trackers on this Community Server.

03Why we use it

We use this data to operate the service: deliver your timeline, route mentions and comments, send invitation emails, deliver notifications you've enabled, secure the platform, and detect abuse. Legal bases under GDPR: performance of the contract you accept by using the service, legitimate interest in operating a secure platform, and your consent where required (e.g. optional notifications).

04Sharing

We don't sell personal data and we don't share it for advertising. Required infrastructure providers (hosting, email delivery, storage) act as processors on our instructions. We disclose data only when legally compelled (court order, valid law-enforcement request) and only the minimum necessary.

05Retention

  • Account data is kept while your account exists.
  • Posts stay on your BlogWarp Blog until you delete them — your blog is the source of truth.
  • Request logs are rotated after 90 days.
  • When you delete your account, personal data is purged within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

06Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have it rectified if inaccurate;
  • have it erased (right to be forgotten);
  • receive it in a portable format;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • lodge a complaint with the French data-protection authority (CNIL).

To exercise any of these, email blogwarp@mirificlabs.com with subject line [privacy]. We respond within 30 days.

07Children

BlogWarp is not directed at children under 16. Don't create an account if you're under that age. If we learn that a member is under 16 without verifiable parental consent, we'll delete the account.

08International transfers

The Community Server is operated from the European Union. If you access it from outside the EU, your data is processed in the EU. We don't transfer personal data outside the EU/EEA without appropriate safeguards.

09Updates

This policy may evolve as the product and the law change. Material updates will be announced on the Community Server timeline and on this page (Last updated date above).
